About Shavory

Shavory is an independent wet shaving resource. We research safety razors, blades, soaps and brushes from manufacturer specs, community discussion and published reviews, and we do not run our own product tests. We earn commissions on qualifying purchases, and that does not change what we recommend.

Our Mission

We believe every man deserves a great shave. Wet shaving with a safety razor delivers a closer, more comfortable experience than cartridges, at a fraction of the cost and with less environmental impact. Our goal is to make the switch easy to understand, with every number traced to its source.

The wet shaving community, from r/wetshaving to long-running enthusiast forums, is one of the most knowledgeable and welcoming groups on the internet. Shavory exists to pull that knowledge together for newcomers and keep it current.

How We Research

Manufacturer Specs First

Weights, materials, dimensions and head design come from the maker's own product pages. When a figure is a typical street price or a community rating, the page says so.

Community Consensus

Aggression ratings, lather rankings and blade matches draw on long-running discussion at r/wetshaving and enthusiast forums, plus reviews published by other shavers. We name the source of each finding.

No Hands-On Testing

We do not buy and test every product, and we do not claim to. Where a page cites hands-on results, they belong to the person or source named.
